About Us

We are Meghan & Jeremy.  We are makers, creators ,and doers.  We love being outside and watching the transformation of the seasons and the days here on Blue Ledge Farm.  We love the history of the Gold Rush and the mountains of El Dorado County.  We love our community of fellow farmers, ranchers, and producers!  We love sustainable farming practices and watching our farm grow and change.  We love heirloom fruits and vegetables and blooming flowers.

We purchased the farm in 2019 and decided to name the farm Blue Ledge Farm.  In terms of mining, a “Blue Ledge” is often a sign of valuable ore and we believe our “Blue Ledge” was finding this farm which enriches our lives every day.  Our predecessors took great care to implement regenerative, sustainable, and organic farming practices in order to restore what was once an area that was impacted by destructive mining practices back to an ecological paradise.  We continue to carry that work forward, knowing that every day we become a smaller, rarer facet of modern food production.  We do it because we love it.  We do it because when you taste a sweet peach, delicate grape, luscious fig, or juicy tomato—you taste the way food is supposed to be—deeply flavorful, filled with nutrients and alive!  You taste the buzz of the bees, the wind in the trees, and the drippy nectar of life!

We could go on…because we love what we do and we do what we love—we hope you’ll taste the difference!  As we say here, “Dreamwork makes the teamwork…” and dream and work we do!

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES

Certifications and licenses are proudly provided upon request.  We hold a Certified Producer’s Certificate and Business License for El Dorado County.  We also have a Tax ID Number (TIN) with the state of California. 

PAYMENT OPTIONS

We sell direct to businesses or barter farm-to-farm.  Currently (due to our other day jobs) we do not sell at local farmers markets, have a farm stand, and are not open to the public (we respectfully request you do not visit our farm/property without prior consent).  Our business/farming partners pay in trade goods, cash, or Venmo/Apple Pay.
